This is great stuff, given football and aviation are my favorite areas of interest. I’ve been following BYU sports since I was old enough to ride my bike to home games.

BYU with very few exceptions flies a Delta 757 out of Provo KPVU for away football games. All other Cougar sports teams fly on Breeze Air Airbus 220ʼs or EMB 190ʼs. Breezeʼs main offices are at Cottonwood, UT with KPVU being a hub for the carrier.

Teams flying to play BYU either land at KSLC or KPVU, I suppose some schools prefer Salt Lake City hotels or their carrier prefers an airport where they have operations. KPVU is served only by American (Sky West), Breeze, and Allegiant.

BYU flew JetBlue charters prior to their contract with Delta. It wasn’t unusual for a JetBlue A320 to need to make an outbound fuel stop at KDEN on a warm fall day when headed to a Deep South or east coast match.
