Hello all,
It seems like dump1090-fa keeps going to inactive and even after running systemctl restart or stop and start, it still shows inactive. Only after I do a full reboot on the pi, would it return to active mode.
Any idea how to fix this?
Try to repair dump1090-fa by following command
sudo apt update
sudo apt install --reinstall dump1090-fa
I may have done this in the past. But will report back after sometime.
It appears that the issue was not solved by doing the apt update and reinstall dump1090-fa.
Any other suggestions?
Unplug the dongle, then replug it firmly into another USB port, then reboot RPi

Dump1090 failing can be a sign of a soft PSU.
Try a different power supply and see if that helps.
