| Another member (cclambert07) has lifted several of my copyrighted images from another site and posted them on FlightAware -- how can I get them removed? |

| Not unless he was standing where my own two feet were and took a picture at the exact same moment using identical equipment and camera settings. And since I was the only person on the observation deck at the time, I can pretty much rule out that possibility. |

I don't charge provided people ask and receive permission first or keep the copyright notice intact.
I'm not sure if you were serious, but if you are, feel free to use the image. I'd be glad to send you a larger, straightened version of the image. |

A user, cclambert07, on your website has stolen my photos from other websites, namely www.airport-data.com and www.jetphotos.net, and posted them on your website without my permission. I request that my photos be removed from your website since they are copyrighted to me and I did not authorize them to be posted on your website.
The following photos were taken by me unless otherwise noted. I have contacted the other photographers via email to notify them that their photos have been uploaded to your site by cclambert07 without our authorization.
The following photos are mine and do not belong to cclambert07: |
Please provide links to where each photo was posted online. |

| I have enjoyed posting my images here, but lately I have noticed more individuals are not following the rules. Note mrhelio for one. His recent image post of the F-22 formation can be found on numerous websites including wikipedia. The Flight Aware agreement clearly states, "Do not submit content you do not own (e.g. work belonging to someone else or that you found on the internet)." This image is a U.S. Air Force photo by TSgt Ben Bloker. I hope we can continue to see original images taken from all sorts of photographers. Let's lose the google images. |

Is the picture copyrighted by the Air Force or, as most government photos are, is it in the public domain as it should be. After all, the pictures are paid for by the taxpayers.
That said, credit to the photographer should still be given. |

Are you referring to a photo posted in the body of message or one uploaded to the FA photo archive.
If the former, there's no such proscription as you describe against using images that are in the public domain, such as government photos or those from Wikimedia. |

| Yes, the picture is public domain, BUT, the Flight Aware agreement states do not post images found on the internet. |

Again, that applies to the FA photo archives, not to the Forums.
You got a dog in this fight or are you just venting? |

That photo was sent to me long before it was all over the net, and I have exclusive permission to use it at will....... |
