A search is being organized for a man and a plane said to have been missing since Oct. 13.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office was told Monday by the family of Kenneth W. Tollett that he took off in his plane Oct. 13 at the Berkeley County Airport. He left his vehicle parked at airport, in Moncks Corner.
Sheriff’s spokesman Dan Moon said Wednesday investigators have contacted the Federal Aviation Authority for any information on Tollet’s missing Cessna 150. The Sheriff’s Office has asked the State Law Enforcement Division and Charleston County Sheriff’s Office about involving their aircraft in a local aerial search, Moon said.
The plane is white with blue stripes and bears the number N3086X on its tail, Moon said.
