Full list of airlines trackable by registration/tail number

I’ve noticed that the team are not announcing new airlines trackable by rego having recently discovered that American and JetBlue are now added. I thought I’d make a post listing the ones I know and if anyone knows any others then I’ll add them to the list so we’ve got them all in one place. Any thoughts?

The list

BER - Air Berlin
ACA - Air Canada

Have I missed any?

  • DAT doesn’t exist anymore, it’s now BEL. If you type in any registration from the BEL fleet (OOSSR for example) it will return flight results under a false DAT identity when it should be BEL.

Note to admin : Korean Air Lines should really be trackable as they list the registrations for all their flights on their Korean Air Cargo website.

TCF - Shuttle America
CHQ - Chautauqua
ASQ - Expressjet
SKW - Skywest
ASH - Mesa (aircraft operating for United Express only)

@ DrDisque thanks, I’ll add them shortly.

My list shows ExpressJet as BTA with Atlantic Southeast being ASQ. Confusion somewhere? I have found some ASQ flights but not any recent BTA flights. Sorry not familiar with regional airlines in US.

??

ExpressJet operates as ASQ since SkyWest bought and merged Atlantic Southeast and ExpressJet.

OK. Any more to add to the list Mark?

Maybe you could sticky the list in the forum?

By the way, tried several HAL tails and none of them are tracking.

Some of them send ship/nose numbers rather than tail numbers.

It looks like HAL is sending ship/nose numbers, Cxxx. If you can provide a translation table/pattern we can make them tail numbers.

If you can show the full Cxxx number I can figure out if the xxx equals the N number. All pictures I’ve looked at show a 3 digit number on the nose gear doors that is the same as the N number.

@ Mark. Change the C for an N and stick HA after the numbers, job done.

eg. C381 = N381HA. C598 = N598HA.

Btw, you should also have C380 which is their first A330, N380HA. All the others agree with what they currently have in their fleet.

C3xx are A330 (e.g. N381HA)

C4xx are B717 (e.g. N475HA)

C58x, C59X are B767 (e.g. N580HA)

Ok the last couple weeks of HAL is fixed and it will soon work going forward.

Excellent!

Could ou please add the 2 following companies i am frequently using :
Aigle azur
Air Algérie

HAL is broken. N383HA is not tracking at all, except for 4 days at the end of December.

You may be able to identify where the problem is by comparing ACARS data with your own from HAL.

acarsd.org/acars_search.html

Key in N383HA in REG box, then select ‘last 30 days’ from the first dropdown, then hit the search button.

flightaware.com/live/flight/N383HA

Fixed historically, will be fixed ongoing Monday with another historical fix for the weekend.

Although there’s a lot of HA flights missing reg still.

How come? I provided you with the fleet # to reg # tie ups for these not that long ago. Just replace the C prefix with N and stick HA after the numbers, job done.

It looks like we get tails for about a third of the longhaul A332/B763 flights and half the shorthaul B712 flights.
