Air Shuttle comes in today. They fly the CRJ-900 into DSM. I don't know why the morning flight is using Skywest CRJ-200 instead of the 900. I think Saturday is the only day the CRJ-900 flies into DSM now that US Airways is flying the A319.

I was going to see it,but decided not to. I caught it twice this year. I did see an Xtra Airways 737-400 land today.

Did anyone see the unmarked white quad jet flying around Des Moines this afternoon? I'm guessing it was military, butI was surprised for how long and low it was flying. Anyone have any info on it?

It was a Boeing E6 that flew in today.

That's exactly the plane I was talking about. Thanks! Any ideas what it was doing?

Whatta thread! haha. That E6 is a Navy guy based at Offutt; probably practicing some approaches or something.

The Des Moines Airport posted a tweet with a picture of it the other day.

I live in Altoona and have a great view of aircraft flying long straight ins to Rwy 23. Traffic usually gets heavy in late spring and summer as southwest winds prevail. However this year the only traffic I've been seeing are those over flying enroute to Rwy 31 or KIKV. Any known reason why 23 is not getting much activity?

If memory serves me right, I think they had to do some emergency repairs. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
