Has there been any thought to providing Google Maps as on overlay option for map images? I know that Google Earth is an option for flights completed, but would like to see a Google Map option for tracking flights in progress. I know there are a couple of other suggestions for map overlays out there (i.e. Hi/Lo Altitude Charts) so I thought I would toss out another.

The option is there for me in Internet Explorer and Firefox:

Click on the "Earth View" button in the upper right, and

Becomes...

Image

Maybe the feature was added quickly after your suggestion.

The earth view option has been there for a couple years. However, after a flight lands, you can download a Google Earth KML and we're considering extending that functionality.

The Google Earth option after flight is complete is great. Problem during a dlight is there are no labels or points of reference thus a Google maps suggestion.
