New Jersey charters from Air Canada:

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/ACA7025

and

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/ACA7026

As you can see, they flew back to NJ after the Pittsburgh game on Saturday.

Hi, all. First post.

I checked the tail numbers that airfleets.net has as being the AC Jetz fleet, and none of them show up as the tail that took the Devils to LAX. I too would love to get the Devils tail numbers, as I'm a huge fan and an aviation geek. It seems like they are consistently using the same flight numbers, but getting the tail is proving difficult. I could probably find it via ACARS, but that software is annoying to use.

They use the same two tail #'s...one is outbound and one inbound. ACA7025 and ACA 7026. See above. All 12 teams that charter with Air Canada have two tail #'s.

The tail #'s won't be the same for each trip, they just send a jet from the fleet when they need one.

Yes, indeed. However, there are only five possible tail numbers...and the source which I would have expected to be correct is no longer correct. That revelation leads me to wonder out loud, asking no one in particular, if there has been a change to the makeup of the Jetz fleet that someone can verify.

Flight numbers for Toronto Maple Leafs are incorrect, they are 7045 & 7046

Here are the flight numbers usually assigned to teams:

ACA7035 and ACA7036 --> Calgary Flames.
ACA7037 and ACA7038 --> Vancouver Canucks.
ACA7039 and ACA7040 --> Edmonton Oilers.
ACA7041 and ACA7042 --> Montreal Canadiens.
ACA7043 and ACA7044 --> Toronto Maple Leafs.
ACA7047 and ACA7048 --> Ottawa Senators.

I saw the Sens A320 today at KFLL, it's C-FPWE.

There are now 6 aircraft. 5 A320's & 1 A319. Registrations are: A319 - C-GKOB, A320's - C-GPWG, C-FPWE, C-GQCA, C-FPWD, C-FDCA. Toronto Blue Jays use the A319 during their season, and I believe if memory serves me right, the flight numbers for them are 7022 & 7023.

Detroit Red Wings appear to have upgraded to a former Midwest Airlines MD81 from their old DC-9 this season:

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N812ME

I saw this plane parked on the ramp at Love Field the other day while flying home, and wondered who it belonged to. Turned out the Red Wings were in town to play the Dallas Stars.

This aircraft was in Toronto yesterday and the Red Wings were here also.

Yes this is confirmed, the Red Wings are no longer using the DC-9 or Red Bird II as it was called. They have upgraded at the beginning of this season to Red Bird III. If you want a cabin tour of the new aircraft and all the interior modifications that were done, you can watch this video.

Very nice! I like the paint job on the exterior of the plane.

Well, looks like the Rangers and Sharks (and more coming I'm sure) have re-blocked their aircraft. I guess if you have plenty of funds you can find a way to get around the new FAA regs. Any ideas how the teams can get around this? Curious....

After a very strong appeal by organizations such as AOPA, the FAA has reinstated the blocked registration at will. So it was short and sweet while it lasted. But unfortunately companies will start re-blocking their aircraft again.

Heres an update to the Detroit Red Wings aircraft. The MD-81 that they acquired from Midwest (N812ME) was operating under that N Number all year. Now it seems that they have changed the registration on this aircraft. It's now their registration off of their old DC-9; N682RW. The registration changed was authorized on 12/30/2011.

Tail # most probably be JUS551. That's the next number in their sequence. Start checking around noon or before the day before they play there.
