Here is the dead head for the Bears on Virgin. Wonder how much money Virgin is losing on these deals.

What's the Detroit Tigers plane? N812ME is only the Red Wings and N682RW doesn't have anything about any flights to or from Texas in the last 2 weeks.

Losing? Why would you think they are losing money on this?

A dead head across the pond is a nice way to burn through some cash on fuel.

How do you know it was strictly a ferry flight? Perhaps they sold seats and/or cargo space on the flight.

Yeah they either sell seats on the deadhead or include it in the charter price.
Highly doubt they are eating the deadhead on these flights.

Coming home,

The Panthers should still be on US Airways #9094.

For their only road game since October 2, they took buses to Atlanta instead of flying.

As far as the hotels, don't know of any list but I know most of the teams going to play the Packers fly into Appleton and then stay at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel. Last time the Cowboys came to MSY, they stayed at the Ritz on Canal St.

Yeah I used to go to the airport all the time to see the Saints go and come back, normally when they come back home after a win it would be packed. Guess it depends on where they depart from and if its set up good for the fans. At MSY, the Saints leave and arrive at the Atlantic FBO north of the field away from the terminal and everybody would just park along the back road and wave as the players drove by in their cars, like a parade! It was a lot of fun and during 2009 the year they won the Super Bowl, there were literally thousands of fans out there getting crazy. If the team uses the terminal, it would be a lot harder or impossible to do this, not sure exactly where the teams coming into PHL meet the buses at. In MSY, the opposing team goes to the west cargo ramp and the buses meet them there so this is another good place to see the other team. We have it good at MSY but don't know about other airports. You could maybe go out there and look for 4 or 5 buses from the same company standing by then see where they go, these will probably be the Bears team buses. Also look for radio and media trucks as they may also be out there. Good luck.

thanks man...so chances of actually being close to the players is pretty slim u'd say? Just cool to see them get off the plane and load up...etc..it seems. I was just wondering incase I would try to get any signatures lol, Im trying to do this for my little cousin who is a huge Bears fan but can't do it. Thanks again for the help

Getting close enough to see the players is usually no problem but getting signatures, that probably would not happen. Still fun to go!

All sports teams coming and going to PHL use Atlantic Aviation and the buses pull inside right on the tarmac. You can't get inside the gates, therefore all you'd see it the plane taxiing to the area and everyone gets on the waiting buses. No access.
