http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N921EW Greg Biffle going to the 3M conference in MN. I wonder if this plane will eventually be registered as N8GB? He has progressed nicely through the Falcon line of business jets and the Falcon 50 would be a nice upgrade from the Falcon 20.

He'll probably be changing it to N8BG, since he recently reserved that number.

That's probably more likely, since it incorporates 16 and is GB instead of BG. It was also reserved more recently.

Wonder if Kenseth is still doing any flying? He sold the Mustang and the Lear seems to go to all the tracks these days. Is he flying it or just getting flown now-a-days?

Also while Edwards was unblocked for a while, man did that dude cover some ground some days. Here, there, everywhere.

If Carl was so worried about privacy why would he change the name that he registered the aircraft under from Santini Air to CARL EDWARDS LLC? I know that tracking and reg are two completely different things but it makes no sense at all to me. If you don't want people to know WHERE you are why would you let them know WHO you are?

More than one word: His accountant probably suggested it.

What benefit would it have from an accounting stand point to use your own name?

I'm not an accountant, so I doubt I could accurately answer your question, but I'm guessing there is an tax advantage to having it owned by Carl Edwards Inc along with his cars, jet ski's, house, and whatever else he owns. The only audience that would know the difference between Santini Air and Carl Edwards Inc are us airplane nerds, and I doubt he gives a hoot.

Anybody know if Travis Pastrana has an airplane? He should be racing in the Nationwide Series next year.

I can't find a registration under his name but, of course, it could be under something else.

A CitationJet CJ-3 belonging to Bass Pro Shops (N320BP) delivered some drivers to Phoenix Goodyear Airport (KGYR) for a NASCAR test at PIR this morning.

Greg Biffle hitched a ride in with somebody. I think it was Denny Hamlin in N400DH, but I'm not sure as a couple of planes came in together and were parked out of site of where I was.

N480JJ, co-owned by Jimmie Johnson and Hendrick Motorsports ran off the runway in Key West, FL today (10/31). Looks like moderate to heavy damage in photos. Plane ended up in salt marsh.

Rick Hendrick and his wife, along with two pilots, were on board. No serious injuries reported.

Does anyone know why the pictures show the flaps extended, obviously, but the reverse thrusters appear stowed. Do they stow automatically as the engines slow or are turned off?

I wonder why he was using N480JJ and not N500RH?
