Pretty sure I've asked this question before but I forgot the answer. What exactly do these points reflect in aircraft movement? Do the pilots need to report or is it automatic reporting or do they have to fly these points? I look up the lat/long on Google Maps but not certain if that is planned path or actual path flown and what is required by the pilot.
