According to the NTSB during the investigation all they could babble about was improper systems training (which was true):

Well, that's actually why I asked. I was based at BVY when that happened and had a flight the day after the incident. There was LOTs of scuttlebut going around the airport as to what had happened.
Which report are you referring to that states the windshear?
