If the federal government chooses to get involved, it’s a charged as a felony, punishable by up to five years in prison and/or up to a $250,000 fine.

Hopefully he DOES get charged for it. Too many medevac RW and FW aircraft get hit on a regular basis, and because laser strikes are so brief it’s too hard to track the source. Hopefully there are ways to help prevent (or at least protect pilots against injuries) these strikes. My friend is a Flight Nurse, and him, his wife, his co-workers and I have ZERO tolerance for this type of crap.
