Want to test new mapping features? Try out the beta.

Hi, folks.

We’re beginning to release a series of mapping and interface improvements that have been in the making for over a year. These improvements are among many in a series of huge infrastructure and technology improvements that will continue to revolutionize how you use FlightAware.

New features and improvements:

  • Auto-zoom/de-clutter for airport maps

  • Fleet maps

  • “My FlightAware” maps

  • Aircraft type maps

  • 25-70% faster map loading time.

Access the beta site here:

beta-fleetmaps.flightaware.com/

You’ll have to login again to the beta site, but you can use your same username and password. When the beta is over, you’ll be automatically redirected back to the main site. If you ever want to switch back to the main site during the beta, you can do that at any time.

Coming very soon, panning, zooming, selective layers (turning on/off weather, turning on/off flights based on airport/altitude/type/etc), bug fixes, slightly reduced radar delay, and much more.

This is still pre-release, so there will be glitches and improvements. Accordingly, please post feedback, enjoy the new features, and thanks for your continued support!
