Who pays in the following sutuation?

Hi,

I was on flight QF 11 from Sydney to Los Angeles, on September the 10th when the A380 caused taxi signs to be blown over and the runway was damaged. See here for the AvHerald report. So who would pay for the damages of this incident? Qantas or Sydney Airport?

Thanks

Probably both their underwriters (insurance companies) would negotiate an apportioned settlement.

But it’s normally the airport’s responsibility to ensure that fixed runway structures and devices arr precisely that, fixed.
