I connected to a late model 737, on my leg to LAX. What a difference. larger seat and larger overhead space. And that blue mood lighting , nice. MD 80's may be ok for a short flights .
That was written several posts above this. The fact is that no 737 has a seat as wide as an MD-80 seat. MD-80s have seats that are 18 inches wide, and 737 seats are only 17 inches wide. Try sitting three men in a row; there is not enough room for their shoulders!
The Boeing narrow-bodies are just too small. But I find it interesting that the writer up above thought that his seat was larger. Why would that be?
