Is it possible to get a distance indication on the live view map?

From the antenna? Yes. Click on the aircraft and it will display how far away it is from the antenna. At least with Dump1090-mutability 1.15dev.

I’m still using “standard” piaware. I’ll have a look at mutability once I’m a bit more knowledgeable, :confused:

If you edit /usr/share/dump1090/public_html/config.js, edit the SiteLat/SiteLon settings to reflect your receiver position, and set SiteShow=true, then you should start getting distances.

(I’d like this to happen automatically eventually, but that needs a big dump1090 update first)
