NASA872 Currently off Florida East Coast - What is it ?

Appears to be a hurricane tracker but he is at 60,000 feet and originated way out west near New Mexico.
Any idea what aircraft they use ?
I am not picking him up from Palm Bay, FL but he is on my "nearby flights’ screen.
