Cannot link to flightaware

I just did a fresh install of piaware on my new Raspberry Pi. It booted up perfectly and prompted me to login, I logged and changed my password, that is all I have done in terms of messing with anything. I cannot for some reason claim this device through my account. Both the Pi and my computer are hooked with an Ethernet cord into the same switch. It tells me that it cannot find anything under my IP address. When I type in “sudo piaware-status” I get

dump1090 is running.
faup1090 is running.
piaware is running.
dump1090 is listening for connections on port 30005.
faup1090 is connected to port 30005.
piaware is NOT connected to FlightAware.
dump1090 is producing data on port 30005.

And when I do "cat /tmp/piaware.out I get

pi@piaware ~ $ cat /tmp/piaware.out

12/29/2015 18:44:04 connecting to FlightAware piaware.flightaware.com/1200

When I type in my Pi’s address followed by “:8080” in the search bar, it brings up a map with a couple of flights, so dump1090 is working properly.

Then when I go to register I get a message saying, “Unfortunately, Flightaware hasn’t found a new, unclaimed PiAware connection yet from…” So I am not sure what to do here. Can somebody please help me? I am not sure what to do here. Thanks for reading.

That indicates a network problem; the Pi cannot connect to the Flightaware servers. Are you behind a firewall?

Would it have something to do with a port being closed? I had the server admin at my company open up ports 30004 and 30005. Still nothing.

I am definitely behind a firewall, me being at work and all, but I am able to have my admin open and close ports. What can I do?

Piaware needs to make an outgoing TCP connection to piaware.flightware.com on port 1200.
Also, for mlat, it will need to send outgoing UDP to piaware.flightaware.com on ports 4999 … 9999.
You don’t need to open up ports 30004/30005 externally.

Okay, the admin is opening 1200 now, will report back

He opened 1200, nothing changed.

Scratch that, It works! Thanks so much

i have same problem how cant i do it… open port??
